Responsibility: The undersigned (skipper/parent/guardian) agrees that it is the responsibility of the undersigned to ensure his/her vessel is seaworthy in hull, rig, and gear and that she is properly manned, sailed, and conforms to all it’s class requirements. The undersigned agrees to accept full, unconditional responsibility for his/her conduct and the conduct of each member of his/her crew and has sole responsibility for his/her crew and vessel at all times. Weather and sea conditions are to be evaluated by each skipper & crew and he/she is responsible for determining whether or not it is safe to participate.
The undersigned (skipper/parent/guardian) furthermore agrees that the officers, governors, committee members and personnel of the Frostbite Yacht Club Connecticut River Squadron and the Essex Yacht Club are not to be held responsible for any accidents, damage or injury to property (personal or otherwise) boats, crew or guests arising from any incidents caused during or related to any race or activity associated with the Frostbite Yacht Club Connecticut River Squadron racing series and further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless each of the officers, committee members, governors, and personnel from any liability, claim or expense (including attorneys fees) against any or all of these persons.
The undersigned (skipper/parent/guardian) furthermore agrees to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing, as adopted by the U.S. Sailing Association, including U.S. Sailing prescriptions when they apply, as well as, the rules of each class concerned, and other such rules as are applicable.
